Cam has given “So Long,” her collaboration with Diplo, the acoustic treatment. In a new video that highlights Cam’s airy vocals, the country singer strips down the track with delicate banjo, guitar and percussion accompaniment.
"I got to play 'So Long' live during my set at Stagecoach and I wanted to capture that live instrument magic for everyone," Cam says in a statement.
The video was directed by Patrick Tracy (Dan + Shay, RaeLynn) and shot at producer Tyler Johnson's The Cave Studio in Nashville. Cam is featured on the guitar with added assistance from her band members, Simon Martensson and Walle Wahlgren.
Diplo released “So Long” in April. The first song from his new country project Thomas Wesley, the producer and Cam later made the live debut of the song at Stagecoach during the festival’s first-ever Stagecoach Late Night.
Following their festival appearance, Diplo released the music video for the song, which was filmed at Stagecoach. The clip includes cameos from Cam, Sam Hunt, Lil Nas X, American restauranteur Guy Fieri and country legends Billy Ray Cyrus and Dwight Yoakam.
