Mysuru: Inebriated youths beaten by public for teasing female devotees

Mysuru, May 15: In a shameful incident that occurred in the H D Kote taluk of the district public beat youths who misbehaved with female devotees.

This incident occurred at Chikkamma Chikkadevi mountain. Some youths of Bengaluru origin, who had parked their car by the side of the mountain, were fully drunk.

They started abusing the female devotees who were visiting the temple on the mountain with profanity. In addition, they misbehaved with a particular woman.

It is learnt that there were four youths in the car. The locals who observed the indecent behaviour of the youths in the car, pulled them out from the car and beat them. The youths who were sitting in the backseat locked the car door from inside. The locals who were raged by the behaviour damaged the car.

As police were arriving on the spot after getting the information, the youths made good their escape. This incident is reported under the limits of H D Kote police station.
