From Givenchy to Oscar de la Renta, the Duchess of Sussex’s best outfits of the year
We have definitely been crushing on this American actress-turned-Duchess. With getting engaged to a prince, who belongs to the world’s most royal family, at the start of the year, then getting married in May and announcing her pregnancy, it has been one hell of a year for Miss Markle. She has served some impeccable looks in this year. Markle has been a trendsetter by wearing everything from striped floor length maxis to pant suits and chic tuxedo dresses. Ah! And how can we forget her signature loose curled low bun? She is definitely creating a trend with her hairstyle by casually rocking it at every event.
Now, the Duchess is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019, we are definitely excited to see her maternity style. We are loving to watch her bump grow day by day. Since the year is coming to an end, we look back at the best outfits she slayed in 2018.
The Royal Wedding Gown
The classic and timeless Givenchy gown was custom-made for the royal bride. With her effortless style and signature hair, we couldn’t take our eyes off her. Markle let her face naturally glow by keeping the makeup simple. Her simple dress was complimented with a 16-foot long veil embroidered with flowers representing 53 countries of the Commonwealth around its hem. This was by far the timeless look of Markle. We still cannot get over her princess moment with a fairytale carriage ride.
Vision in white
Meghan was a vision in white in a Stella McCartney white gown. She wore the dress for a private reception post her wedding. Miss Markle kept the same makeup and hair from the wedding. We loved how the floor length gown had a modern vibe with a halter neck but was also timeless, elegant and classic.
The blue cape dress
During the royal couple’s tour to the Commonwealth countries, Meghan wore a floor length sky-blue gown at an evening reception in Fiji. The Safiyaa gown with the cape looked stunning on Meghan. She carefully caressed her baby bump all evening. While she took away the audience’s attention in this stunning gown, she paired it with long diamond earrings and centre-parted hair.
We definitely think that yellow is Meghan's colour. The yellow dress by Brandon Maxwell was a perfect fit for her. She wore the dress with her nude heels and kept her makeup simple. Miss Markle opted for a chic centre-parted low bun to complete her look.
The Duchess was spotted wearing an all-green outfit for a visit to the University of Chichester Tech Park. She looked chic in a high-waisted leather skirt by Hugo Boss. She styled the skirt with an olive green button down shirt by & Other Stories. We absolutely loved her chic look for the event.
Baby pink trench dress
The midi length tuxedo dress by House of Nonie is a perfect choice for a monochrome look. The flared tuxedo dress was adorned by Meghan carefully pairing it with the same coloured heels and clutch.
Chic at Wimbledon
The super chic tennis look is surely a win for Meghan. The duchess wore a striped shirt with white pants by Ralph Lauren. She paired the sporty look with a white hat. She styled her laidback look with her signature bun.
The navy magic
Meghan looked smart in this navy coat. We definitely think that is her favourite colour! The Duchess walked hand in hand with Prince Harry looking happy as ever. Meghan paired her look with black pants and a white sweater. The former actress looked radiant in it.
Hands down, our favourite has to be Meghan’s reception look. What was your favourite outfit?
