New Delhi, May 14: Fond of uploading selfies and photos on social media? Then you might fancy the upcoming new smartphone from Chinese mobile giant Xiaomi.
The company, has not yet revealed the brand of the new phone, which will sport a powerful 48-megapixel camera. A post on the official Twitter account of Redmi India on Tuesday hinted that the new smartphone may debut under its brand.
"An all-new Redmi with a new 48MP Super camera is coming," Redmi India wrote in the tweet.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro, which was launched in late February, also features a 48-megapixel primary camera. However, the tweet also contained an image which confirmed that the Note 7 Pro, which is currently priced at Rs 16,599, will no longer to be the only 48-megapixel camera phone in the Redmi stable.
Interestingly, the teaser of the new smartphone comes even as Xiaomi celebrates the success of its the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro variants which have surpassed the sales mark of two million.
Xiaomi also reportedly plans to introduce a Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 730G powered phone in India, which could be the phone that the Chinese company is currently teasing.
Xiaomi has recently teased a new series powered by the Snapdragon 700 that could have either the Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 730G SoC.
There is a possibility that the new Xiaomi smartphone with a 48-megapixel camera might be the Mi A3 model. If so, this new phone may emerge as a successor to the Mi A2 costing Rs 11,999, which was launched last year. The new phone is also rumoured to sport a Snapdragon 700-series processor.
