Benelli TNT 300, Benelli 302R prices slashed by up to Rs 60,000

Benelli TNT 300 gets inverted telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Premium bikes maker Benelli has reduced the prices of its 300 cc models -- Benelli TNT 300 and Benelli 302R -- by as much as Rs 60,000. The company has attributed the price cut to a reduction in manufacturing costs. While the TNT 300 is a naked sportbike, the 302R is a faired track bike.

While there has been a price cut of Rs 51,000 in Benelli TNT 300 bringing its ex-showroom price down to Rs 2.99 lakh, Benelli 302R has witnessed a reduction of Rs 60,000 in its price with the ex-showroom price now standing at Rs 3.10 lakh.

Benelli TNT 300 is available with a 300 cc, in-line, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, 8-valve, DOHC engine that produces 38.26 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The naked bike gets a steel trestle frame. Taking care of the suspension duties are inverted telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. There are hydraulic dual discs at the front and a hydraulic single disc at the rear. The TNT 300 also comes with dual-channel ABS. It features 17-inch tyres as well.

Benelli 302R features an inline, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, water-cooled, 8-valve, 300 cc engine.

Benelli 302R features an inline, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, water-cooled, 8-valve, 300 cc engine that makes 38.26 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The motor comes with a 6-speed transmission. The bike gets a steel trestle frame in steel tubes. The suspension duties are performed by inverted telescopic forks at the front and a swing arm with central shock absorber at the rear. There are double floating discs with 4-piston caliper at the front and a single disc with a single piston caliper at the rear. Like its naked cousin, the 302R also gets dual channel ABS. There is a 17-inch tyre both in the front and at the back.

In February, Benelli and Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) - Mahavir Group in India. While TRK 502 is priced at Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), TRK 502X is available for Rs 5.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The two bikes had of their launch.

Benelli's products are distributed in India by its exclusive partner Adishwar Auto Ride India, which has also set up an assembly plant for Benelli in Hyderabad.
